The Hawaii Marlin Tournament Series has been a cornerstone of big-game fishing in Kona since 1987. Founded by Capt. The 2025 Kona Kick Off takes place June 27–29 at Honokohau Harbor with the eagerly awaited Kick-Off Tournament—a perfect mix of sport, camaraderie, and island tradition. As the much-anticipated start to the summer season, the Kona Kick Off is a competitively priced “four flags” tournament that divides the base pot among the largest marlin, ahi, ono, and mahi.
